News from Ed and Luci Kivett, Innkeepers

We are at the close of a great summer and looking forward to an exceptionally beautiful fall. We would like to thank everyone for supporting us through the transition of becoming new Innkeepers. A special thanks goes to the Aycocks and everyone who helped and came out to the 5th Annual Tomato Festival here at the Inn. We had over 400 people come to enjoy "all things tomato." If you missed it this year, mark your calendars for July 19, 2009 and plan to attend this increasingly popular event!
We've been busy designing some exciting new dinner events and packages. Chef David Knopp, in his 4th year at Glen-Ella Springs, celebrates his German heritage by offering a traditional German dinner on October 26, with delicious culinary delights to celebrate Oktoberfest, of course. We also have plans for an Italian night in January and a Brazilian celebration in February.
There are some hidden treasures in the area you may never have visited and we included touring them in our new "Discover the Falls" package. It's a get-away offering that takes the worry out of planning for you! See more details to the right. Don't forget the annual Tallulah Gorge water releases this fall. Call the state park at 706-754-7970 or go to www.tallulahfallsgeorgia.org for more information.
With Thanksgiving being just around the corner, it's not too early to make reservations for our annual Thanksgiving buffet on November 27th.
Finally, we're beginning to restore the "springs" at Glen-Ella Springs and plan to make this historical feature more of a focus on the property. Take a look at the beginnings of clearing the area where Glen and Ella Davidson first welcomed visitors to "take to the waters".
All of us at Glen-Ella Springs look forward to seeing you at the Inn this fall!
