Moccasin Creek State Park was established in 1963 as a campground, and has since become an all-around recreation area with access to Lake Burton and Moccasin Creek. The park is popular due to the range of activities available as well as the fact that it is extremely child and handicap friendly. There are facilities such as picnic shelters, a boat dock and ramp, a playground, a wheelchair accessible fishing pier, and the Fulton Lovell Assembly Shelter. Moccasin Creek State Park also offers visitors access to the Appalachian Trail and Chattahoochee National Forest.

Though the park is a relatively small 32-acres, there is plenty to do to keep outdoor lovers engaged and entertained.
