Come enjoy the bounty of the harvest season with Glen-Ella Springs’ Heirloom Tomato Harvest Weekend. This special weekend brings back to memory a time when tomatoes were more than something you picked up at the grocery store and instead a season you looked forward to when the fruit was in season for that short and sweet period of time each year. This weekend package at Glen-Ella Springs includes two nights lodging with breakfast each morning, a farm tour at the local Melon Head Farms, tasting and buying opportunities and more!
Come and celebrate the 6th annual edition of the event that has been called one of the Top 20 Events by the Southeast Tourism Society. A Taste of Clarkesville brings local restaurants and wineries together for a delectable celebration of the food and beverage scene in and around Clarkesville. Along with local restaurants serving up their best, there are wine tastings, beer gardens, live local music, door prizes, and much more for you to enjoy! The event takes place in Downtown Clarksville Square from noon to 3:00 pm.
If you love great live music and delicious southern barbeque, then this is on of the North Georgia events that you don’t want to miss. The Dillard Bluegrass + Barbeque Festival brings amazing bluegrass music together with an amazing barbeque competition. Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes. The festival started in 1997, and it brings people from all over the country to compete in the barbeque competition. Bands headlining this year’s festival include Adkins & Loudermilk, Curtis Blackwell & the Dixie Bluegrass Boys, Leipers Fork, The Foxfire Boys, Carolina Backroads, West End String Band, and Last Road.
Celebrate with Paradise Hills Vineyard and enjoy an old-world style grape stomp! There will be plenty of wine and food and other activities to keep you entertained. Don’t miss on the age-old tradition of stomping grapes at this winery. This is a fun tradition that will make great memories. And the local wine is a great addition to this event.
