“The Best Weekend of Our Lives”
My husband and I chose Glen-Ella Springs for our wedding venue in May 2011. We visit a neighboring cabin a few times a year, and that is how we came across this little gem in the North Georgia Mountains. We literally had the best weekend of our entire lives.
About 120 of our closest friends and family joined us on our special day, and I had people coming up to me throughout the event telling me how beautiful everything was, how charming the Inn was and just how professional and friendly the staff were. And the food was incredible! I had people tell me it’s the best wedding food they have ever had! I would absolutely have to agree with that.
I could not have been more pleased with the veune. And Luci, the innkeeper, was the absolute best! She made me feel like a queen the day of the wedding, waited on us hand and foot, made sure everything ran smoothly, all the while, having a great big smile on her face. She made sure that every little detail was taken care of, which helped take all the stress off my shoulders.
It’s been three weeks since the wedding, and I continue to get text messages, emails and Facebook messages about how beautiful Glen-Ella was and how we couldn’t have picked a better place to have our wedding. From the beauty of the well-kept gardens, to the breathtaking views of the meadow and mountains, to the charming guest rooms, everything was just perfect. We even saw a few shooting stars the night before the wedding. 🙂
We will surely be going back to visit, whether it’s for a quick glass of wine on the patio or a nice romantic weekend getaway, Glen-Ella will always be a part of our lives. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Glen-Ella to future brides and grooms as the perfect place to begin your lives together.

“Heaven in the Forest”
My family visits Lake Rabun in northeast Georgia often. When we visit, we have had dinner at Glen-Ella Springs Inn and thought it was magnificent. This past weekend was my anniversary, and I decided to take my wife for a night away. We had a king room, and it was extremely nice, with a very comfortable bed. The bath amenities were nice. There are no telephones and no TV (there are in a garden house) which was an added plus. The Inn is situated in the north Georgia forest, and is an old hotel/homestead. It looks like an old stagecoach inn that has been renovated and decorated tastefully. The garden is magnificent, the pool is nice, and there seemed to be hundreds of rocking chairs perched along porches all around the Inn. On the garden, my wife and I decided that it is actually a hummingbird convention center. Watching the hummingbirds was my favorite part of the stay, except for the food. We had a great dinner (as good as anything I have experienced elsewhere) and it deserves the award received as one of the Top Ten Dining Destinations in Georgia. I could go on and on, and my wife and I could have stayed for a week, but alas, we had to leave. We will be back. Our name here is KidsGoToo. On that point, we used it as a romantic getaway, but I saw children there and what was fantastic about that was the children seemed to have fun and were well behaved. I think the parents had something to do with that, but Glen-Ella has a “family” policy of having everyone (guests included) hold down the noise after 10 pm. It was done very tastefully and becuase of that policy, I slept like a baby.

“Beautiful and Relaxing!”
Breakfast was superb! We immediately forgot we were a bit tired, and enjoyed all the fresh fruit, egg dish, delicious grits, and so much more! There was enough for anyone to eat all they wanted, and it was varied and delicious….including homemade granola, tons of fresh fruit, biscuits, breads, many juice choices, and plenty of hot coffee. The morning staff was once again, friendly and helpful! There was a family reunion going on, and they were quite boisterous and clearly enjoying each other; my husband and I both agreed this would be a perfect place for reunions or getaways for churches or work, as you are just able to enjoy time together, and they even have special rooms for everyone to get together….and so much beautiful outside garden and meadow empty space. Oh….they also have a lovely pool! How nice to have so many extras!

“A treasure in the woods!”
My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary and his 60th birthday (yes, we got married on his birthday) at Glen-Ella Springs. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The Inn is secluded in the woods near Clarkesville, GA. The grounds are beautiful, with gardens, wide open spaces, woods, and a running stream. Benches are positioned along the stream for your enjoyment of nature. The staff at the Inn are very friendly and do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had dinner at the Inn, and the food was wonderful! Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We will definitely be returning to Glen-Ella Springs!

“Favorite romantic getaway spot!”
Cozy and historical accommodations nestled in the foothills of northeast Georgia near Clarkesville. This former stagecoach inn is surrounded by gorgeous natural splendor and hosts a beautiful flower garden adjoining the restaurant’s sheltered patio. Our gourmet meals were further enhanced by the presence of lovely native butterflies and hummingbirds lured to exotic fragrances emitted by thousands of flowering plants! A refreshing pool awaited us after hiking the area’s wonderful nature trails. Our arrival was greeted by a prearranged bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to get our romantic 40th anniversary getaway started. All staff members were friendly and courteous throughout our stay and we anxiously await our next visit.

“Quiet beauty, Shh… don’t tell anyone.”
A great B&B feel with expanded options, 16 Room true old style Inn. Wonderful views of the Georgia foothills. Minutes away from Lake Raburn. The dinner was outstanding. Our group had an early morning departure, so breakfast was prepared to go for us….again great service. Breakfast in house the following morning was also a treat.

“Welcome to TRUE Southern Hospitality!!!”
First, let me thank our dear friends for sharing Glen-Ella with us years ago. When our daughter first started explaining her “Dream Wedding” to us, Glen-Ella immediately came to mind!! It was love at first sight!! All other venues, paled in comparison!! Every detail was handled seamlessly. Luci and Ed Kivett are consummate professionals and such a JOY!! We not only fell in love with the Inn, but with the owners, as well!! The staff, the food, the linens, the entire experience was a memory we all will never forget!!! Get ready Ed and Luci, I believe every guest who attended the wedding will be booking with you!!! After the wedding, we went back the next weekend to just sit back and relax. After years of bouncing from one B&B to the other, we have finally found our “Resting Place”. Thank you for making us feel at home!!

Fabulous place to have your wedding!”
My husband and I were married here on 10/1/11 and it was SUCH a wonderful experience! Luci’s attention to detail and eagerness to please made this such a great experience all around. We had numerous meetings before hand to make sure everything was just right and she made sure it was exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. I can’t forget to mention THE FOOD. It’s one of the many reasons we chose this place (in addition to the most fabulous setting, charming rooms, exceptional service, and proximity to Atlanta). The food and service were fabulous and we got countless compliments on both! Highly recommend Glen-Ella for hosting a wedding/event, or for a beautiful relaxing weekend with the one you love. It’s such a romantic place!
Room Tip: They have beautiful suites available, but all the rooms are gorgeous!

“A Corporate Retreat Haven”
Our team of 11 stayed at Glen-Ella Springs for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! From the gracious staff, the down-home cooking and comfortable rooms to the technology-savvy conference room and the wonderful amenities, Glen-Ella Springs has once again served our every need and request. Debbie, Lucy, Ed, Ann and all other staff members are quick to serve and fulfill every request. Thank you for another amazing retreat! Room Tip: The suites are amazing! With a gas stove, it adds a bit of country-style luxury to the room. Great jacuzzi bathtub, too!

“Simply a Great Place to Be…”
About a year ago, it was my husband’s turn to plan our periodic “surprise destination.” So on our 17th anniversary Glen-Ella was “it”! It was well-worth the mystery surrounding the events to come, everything from the quaint atmosphere, to the fine dining experience, to the available hiking opportunities that lay ahead. So a year later when we wanted to celebrate not only another anniversary, but also the completion of a graduate degree, it was a logical choice We have, and will continue to recommend Glen-Ella to our friends and acquaintances.

“Lovely mountain retreat”
We had a most beautiful evening drinking wine on the porch in rocking chairs and eating delicious fruits and cheeses, followed by a fantastic trout dinner. Glen-Ella was quiet and charming, with a lovely garden and a great pool. In the morning we watched deer in the meadow while enjoying our breakfast. I wanted to give my British boyfriend a real taste of the South, and I think he appreciated it all, from the good food to the hospitality to the golden afternoon sunshine lighting the meadow as we took a stroll over to the tree swing. We had a perfect night, and I’d like to send everyone I know here!
