The Wines

Tiger Mountain has won more than 225 awards for their wines since 2001, both local and national. One of those awards was for the “best wine in Georgia,” so you know this is a vineyard worth your time. The Petit Manseng is a crisp white wine that continues to win awards, and it is a favorite of vineyard guests as well. The White Tiger is a blend of the Petit Manseng and another uncommon grape, the Viognier, and pairs wonderfully with seafood. The Norton, a full-bodied red, makes a perfect pairing for your red meat dishes. Check out all of the wines they currently offer by clicking the list on the right of their homepage. The tasting room is open daily from 1 – 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. A selection of Georgia cheese and crackers accompanies your wine tasting.

The Food

Visitors to the Tiger Mountain Vineyards consistently rave about the unique Red Barn Café. The café is located in a 75-year-old refurbished dairy barn. One of the owners/winemakers used to milk cows in that dairy barn as a boy! Today, the barn is clean and elegant, with the large barn doors opening to bring the light and beauty of the vineyards inside. The talented chef at the Red Barn Café offers truly fine cuisine that pairs well with the offered wines. Plan your tasting to be near lunch or dinner so that you have the opportunity to enjoy the food! The Red Barn Café often features live music as well. It’s open May – November 5 – 9. p.m. on Fridays, 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sundays.

The Views

With the stunning North Georgia Mountains as a backdrop, the views from the Tiger Mountain Vineyards are incredible. The grapevines on the rolling hills are picturesque as well.
