Apple Mountain Golf Club

Apple Mountain Golf Club is located just 14 minutes away from Glen-Ella Springs Inn and offers a fantastic public golf experience. We recommend playing a round (or two) here if you’re new to the game or simply want a relatively easy course. There’s even an activity center on site that offers mini golf, ping pong, and more for visiting families! The best part? The gorgeous North Georgia mountain scenery surrounds it all.
The Orchard Golf and Country Club
1057 Orchard Drive, Clarkesville
Another noteworthy spot for golf in North Georgia is The Orchard Golf and Country Club, an 18-hole championship course. This private course is located in Clarkesville—just a quick 8-minute drive away from the inn. Here, you’ll enjoy gorgeous, undulating greens designed by famed architect Dan Maples. We recommend checking out The Orchard’s day pass prices and schedule your outing in advance.
Waterfall Club
1105 Waterfall Drive, Clayton
Nestled in the charming mountain town of Clayton, Georgia, you’ll find Waterfall Club, one of the best places for tee time in the area! This stunning course sits at a high elevation above Lake Burton, which makes for incredible Appalachian views. Waterfall Club’s Bentgrass fairways (the Southernmost in the country) are private, but guests may pay for daily access. Be sure to snap a photo of Waterfall Club’s famous hole number two: A breathtaking par 3 dropping 210 feet over a waterfall to the green below.
