About Toccoa Falls College

Toccoa Falls College is a private Christian liberal arts college located in the town of Toccoa. The school is surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it a popular choice among students who want to have the experience of a small Christian campus during their studies. Toccoa Falls was founded in 1907 by R.A. Forrest and it was originally located in Golden, North Carolina before moving to Toccoa shortly after its establishment. The reason for the move was that Forrest wanted the school to be nearer to a mainline railroad.

Throughout the school’s history the campus has suffered from several fires as well as the Kelly Barns Dam Break Disaster, however the school has soldiered on. Today students study in one of three schools: the School of Christian Ministries, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Professional studies. Together these three schools have nine departments offering 26 majors and 36 minors. The undergraduate population at Toccoa Falls College is currently about 750.
