Ride the Blue Ridge Railway

At 10 PM on New Year’s Eve, the famous Blue Ridge Scenic Railway will be hosting a celebratory event just for adults! Those 21 and older are welcome to board the New Year’s Eve Train and enjoy wine, dessert, party favors, and tons of fun. You’ll return back to the train depot at 12:30 AM and will have started 2016 off on a great note! Tickets are $75 per person or $130 per couple and sell quickly, so be sure to get yours soon!

Visit the Habersham Community Theater

Enjoy music from the 50’s and 60’s and have some feel-good family fun at the Habersham Community Theater on New Year’s Eve! You’ll dance and sing along to hit songs of artists like Bobby Darin, Elvis, The Beatles, The Rat Pack, and more, all performed by the talented Steve Mckee. He’ll entertain you with his high-energy performance, and the fun all starts at 8 PM!

Attend the Dropping of the Edelweiss

Just a 45-minute drive from Glen-Ella Springs in lovely Helen, GA is the annual family-friendly event known as the Dropping of the Edelweiss. An edelweiss is a strangely beautiful European mountain plant that has wooly white flowers and gray-green leaves. Starting at 8 PM, guests are invited to bring in the New Year with music, food, fun, and dancing. You’ll enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, festive party favors, and a midnight champagne toast as the flower drops.
