\While Atlanta, GA is a refined, world-class metropolis filled with culture, art, commerce, and a breath-taking skyline, living and working in its fast paced and harried environment makes rejuvenation and relaxation a necessity. A daily diet of meetings, appointments, deadlines, marketing strategies, and MARTA affects a person’s wellbeing in many ways. Emotional stress triggers physical ailments which in turn cause additional anxiety to an already weary soul. A remedy for this cyclical recipe for burnout is time away from the city. That’s why all of us at Glen-Ella Springs Inn in Clarkesville cordially invite you to take a weekend trip from Atlanta. Allow us to indulge you and let Mother Nature heal your spirit as you revel in our luxurious beds, immerse yourself in our deep woods, and feed your soul at our world renowned restaurant.
Historic Glen-Ella Springs Inn is nestled on 17 acres of rolling hills, forest, and lush perennial and herb gardens and is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. Each one of our 16 well-appointed guest rooms is adjoined by a private bath and is furnished with the finest luxury linens. Period antiques, covered porches complete with relaxing rocking chairs, custom-milled bath products and more make each one of our guest rooms a private retreat from the world’s worries. In an effort to help our guests unplug from the world and also to maintain our rustic atmosphere, there aren’t any televisions in our guest rooms. However, we do understand that people do need to have access to information and the ability to contact the outside world (if they so choose). WiFi is available throughout the Inn and there are televisions in some of the common areas. It is up to our guests how reclusive they want to be while enjoying their weekend trip from Atlanta (or anywhere, for that matter).
Outside of Glen-Ella Springs Inn’s property line lays the incredible Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, all a part and parcel of the Appalachian Mountain Range! There are many spectacular places to truly marvel at nature’s beauty near the Inn. Of course, one doesn’t have to even leave our property for amazing wildlife observation and refreshing walks in the woods however; we are in very close proximity to some very famous hiking haunts. Tallulah Gorge State Park is about 6 miles from our Inn and it boasts a canyon that is over 1000 feet deep, miles upon miles of hiking trails that cater to a variety of hiking ability levels, and a full moon suspension bridge hike. Smithgall Woods State Park is another favorite outdoor destination, especially for anglers!
Of course, a full breakfast at our highly acclaimed restaurant is always included in your room fees. Be sure to return to our dining room to enjoy a fresh farm to table dinner complete with exquisite service, sumptuous wines and other beverages, and our fresh desserts including homemade sherbet and apple bread pudding topped with cinnamon ice cream and butterscotch sauce!
