The Helen to the Atlantic Balloon Race & Festival is an annual event that takes place in the Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia. It’s a three-day event that celebrates hot air ballooning and brings thousands of visitors to the small town each year. This year marks the 50th anniversary of this beloved festival, which has been held annually since 1973.

It features 5k and 10k runs, an open-air market, an Adventure Zone for kids, and, of course, a fireworks show! Dillard Bluegrass + Barbeque Festival | Dillard, GA | July/August
The Dillard Bluegrass + Barbeque Festival is considered one of the great North Georgia events and brings together two wonderful and distinctly southern things. Along with an impressive lineup of bluegrass musicians, this event hosts a barbeque competition that will have your mouth watering.
Oktoberfest | Helen, GA | September – November
